ACT6390 - 1.7A/2.5A PWM Step-Up DC/DC Converters In MSOP

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT6390/ACT6391 are high-performance, fixed-frequency, current-mode PWM step-up
DC/DC converters that incorporate internal power MOSFETs. The ACT6390 includes an integrated 0.2Ω power MOSFET that supports peak currents of up to 1.7A, while the ACT6391’s integrated 0.15Ω power MOSFET supports currents of up to 2.5A.
The ACT6390 and ACT6391 both utilize simple external loop compensation and a pin-selectable
fixed-frequency of either 700kHz or 1.3MHz, allowing optimization between component size, cost, and AC performance across a wide range of applications. Additional functions include an externally programmable soft-start function for easy inrush current control, internal over-voltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limit protection, and thermal shutdown.
Both the ACT6390 and the ACT6391 are available in the small 8-pin MSOP-8 package.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The patent-pending ACT8342 is a complete, cost effective, highly-efficient ActivePMUTM power management solution that is ideal for a wide range of portable handheld equipment. This device integrates one PWM step-down DC/DC converter and two low noise, low dropout linear regulators (LDOs) in a single, thin, space-saving package. This device is ideal for a wide range of portable handheld equipment that can benefit from the advantages of ActivePMU technology but does not require a high level of integration.
REG1 is a fixed-frequency, current-mode PWM step-down DC/DC converter that is optimized for high efficiency and is capable of supplying up to 350mA output current. REG1’s output is available in a variety of factory-preset output voltage options, and an adjustable output voltage mode is also available. REG2, REG3 are low noise, high PSRR linear regulators that are capable of supplying up to 80mA, and 150mA, respectively.
The ACT8342 is available in a tiny 3mm × 3mm 16-pin Thin-QFN package that is just 0.75mm thin.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT6308 is a high efficiency synchronous step-up DC/DC converter that consumes just 17μA of quiescent supply current using only three external components. This device achieves a typical startup voltage of just 1V, making it ideal for applications operating from 1 or 2 alkaline cells.
This device incorporates an internal synchronous rectifier, and achieves excellent peak efficiency of up to 89% and features a proprietary control scheme that ensures high efficiency over a wide load current range.
The ACT6308 features pin-selectable output voltages of 3.3V or 5V, or it can also be set externally to any voltage between 2V and 5V. The ACT6308 is available in a tiny SOT23-5 package.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The patent-pending ACT8700 is a complete, costeffective, highly-efficient ActivePMUTM power management solution that is ideal for a wide range of portable handheld equipment.
This device integrates two step-down DC/DC converters, one stepup DC/DC converter with over-voltage protection(OVP) for WLED bias, and a full-featured, linearmode Li+ battery charger-into a single, thin, spacesaving package.
REG1 and REG2 are fixed-frequency, current-mode PWM step-down DC/DC converters that are optimized for high efficiency and are capable of supplying up to 350mA and 500mA, respectively. REG3 is a fixed-frequency, step-up DC/DC converter that safely and efficiently biases a string of up to seven white-LEDs for backlighting.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT6359 step-up DC/DC converter drives white LEDs with an externally programmable constant current.
This device features an integrated, 40V power MOSFET that is capable of driving up to
ten white LEDs in series, providing inherent current matching for uniform brightness.
WLED brightness adjustment is easily achieved via simple external circuitry, which accepts either a PWM or an analog dimming control signal.
The ACT6359 features a variety of protection circuits, including integrated over voltage protection (OVP), cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection circuitry.
The ACT6359 has a 500mA current limit, and is available in a small 6-pin SOT23-6 package.
