PI3HDMI412FT-B - 2:1 Mux/DeMux High Bandwidth (> 5 Gbps) HDMI 1.3 Compliant Signal Switch

Pericom Technology Inc 2008/12/19 09:09

Description
Pericom Semiconductor’s PI3HDMI series of switch circuits are targeted for high-resolution video networks that are based on DVI/HDMI standards, and TMDS signal processing. The
PI3HDMI412FT-B is an 8- to 4-Channel Mux/DeMux Switch. The device multiplexes differential signals to one of two corresponding outputs. The switch is bidirectional and offers little or no attenuation of the high-speed signals at the outputs. It is designed for low bit-to-bit skew and high channel-to-channel noise isolation.
The allowable data rate of 5.0Gbps provides the resolution required by the next generation HDTV and PC graphics. Three differential channels are used for data (video signals for DVI or audio/video signals for HDMI), and one differential channel is used for Clock for decoding the TMDS signals at the outputs.
Due to its integrated pull-up resistors, the product has been designed specifi cally for applications where the part is used as a 2 to 1 mux, not 1 to 2 demux. Therefore, Pericom only recommends the part to be used as a 2 to 1 mux when dealing with HDMI signals. Even though the passive circuitry does not eliminate the bi-directional functionality, it is not ideal when used with HDMI signals. If DVI are used, either direction can be used.

PI6C3503 - Low Power Spread Spectrum Frequency Multiplier

Pericom Technology Inc 2008/09/23 09:17

Description
The PI6C3503 is a Low Power Frequency Multiplier with Spread Spectrum function to reduce EMI interference. The PI6C3503 provides a 1 time Spread Spectrum modulated output from a single clock source or a crystal. The PI6C3503 can reduce EMI at the clock output and it allows signifi cant system cost savings by reducing the number of circuit board layers ferrite beads and shielding that are traditionally required to pass EMI regulations.
Power down control is selectable through external logic state setting. The various and small package outlines can save board size and is easy for layout.
The PI6C3503 can be used in most portable devices with low power requirements like PDA, DSC, MFP, Media player, portable-TV, and LCM(LCD Panel Module).
PI6C3503 is one of Pericom clock products, if you have application need with clock input or output not specifi ed here, please contact with Pericom for further information or custom clock design.

Features
*Produces a 1 time spread spectrum clock signal from the input frequency.
*2.5 V or 3.3V power supply operation.
*Input frequency range from 13MHz to 30MHz.
*Frequency Spreading Ratio : +1.15% (Typical @15MHz output frequency)
*Modulation Rate : Fin/640
*Low power consumption design
*6-pin SOT-23, 6-pin TDFN, 8-pin TSSOP, and 8-pin SOIC Packages.

PI3A212S - Small Plastic Package, Dual SPDT Audio Clickless Analog Switch (with Shunt Switches)

Pericom Technology Inc 2008/07/24 15:53

Description
Pericom Semiconductor's PI3A212S is a dual high-bandwidth, fast single-pole double throw (SPDT) CMOS switch.
It can be used as an analog switch or as a low-delay bus switch.
Specified over a wide operating power supply voltage, 2.7V to 4.2V, the PI3A212S has a low On-Resistance of 0.6Ω @ 2.7V.
Break-before-make switching prevents both switches being enabled simultaneously.
This eliminates signal disruption during switching.
The PI3A212S shunt switches connected to ground in order to dissipate capacitance that builds up on the unconnected NC or NO line.
As a result, reduction of popping and clicking sounds is achieved when switching between audio sources.

Features
* CMOS Technology for Bus and Analog Applications
* Low On-Resistance: 0.6Ω @ 2.7V
* Wide VCC Range: 2.7V TO 4.2V ±10%
* Rail-to-Rail Signal Range
* High Off Isolation: -80dB @ 100 kHz
* Crosstalk Rejection Reduces Signal Distortion: -90dB @ 100 kHz
* Break-Before-Make Switching
* Extended Industrial Temperature Range: –40°C to 85°C
* Packaging: Pb-free & Green, 10-contact TQFN (ZL10)

Applications
* Cell Phones
* PDAs
* MP3 players
* Portable Instrumentation
* Computer Peripherals
* Speaker Headset Switching
* Power Routing
* Relay Replacement
* Audio and Video Signal Routing
* PCMCIA Cards
* Modems

PI6C20800S - PCI Express 1:8 HCSL Clock Buffer

Pericom Technology Inc 2008/06/26 09:20

Description
PI6C20800S is a PCI Express, high-speed, low-noise differential clock buffer designed to be a companion to PI6C410BS PCIExpress clock generator for Intel server chipsets.
The device distributes the differential SRC clock from PI6C410BS to eight differential pairs of clock outputs either with or without PLL.
The input SRC clock can be divided by 2 when SRC_DIV# is LOW.
The clock outputs are controlled by input selection of SRC_STOP#, PWRDWN# and SMBus, SCLK and SDA.
When input of either SRC_STOP# or PWRDWN# is LOW, the output clocks are Tristated.
When PWRDWN# is LOW, the SDA and SCLK inputs must be Tristated.

Features
* Phase jitter fi lter for PCIe application
* Eight Pairs of Differential Clocks
* Low skew < 50ps
* Low Cycle-to-cycle jitter < 50ps
* Output Enable for all outputs
* Outputs Tristate control via SMBus
* Power Management Control
* Programmable PLL Bandwidth
* PLL or Fanout operation
* 3.3V Operation
* Packaging (Pb-Free & Green):
- 48-Pin SSOP (V)
- 48-Pin TSSOP (A)
